History
Poland first competed in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994. The country has taken part in most years since then, most recently at the 2011 event. Although Poland did not become a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) until 1993, earlier Contests had often been broadcast on Telewizja Polska (TVP), the Polish broadcaster – even if delayed.
The first ever performance by Poland was at the 1994 contest: Edyta Górniak’s song was also by far the most successful for Poland to date, winning 166 points and second place. Poland was almost disqualified that year though, as Edyta sang the chorus in English in the rehearsals.
Subsequent Polish entries were less successful, placing between 11th and 20th. Poland did not compete in 2002.However, since 2005 Poland has reached the final only once, in 2008. Even then, its song (“For Life”, sung by Isis Gee) placed a lowly 24th.
Members of the Polish OGAE have said at their annual convention that they would like Edyta Górniak to represent Poland for a second time. It is unknown if Górniak would enter Eurovision again.
However, Poland confirmed on 22 November 2012, that it will not be participating in 2013.

1994

Poland made their Eurovision Song Contest debut in 1994 in Dublin, represented by Edyta Górniak, with the song “To nie ja!” which was chosen internally by broadcaster TVP. Poland’s first Eurovision participation is noted for being the most successful ever by a nation completely new to the contest, but also for the storm of controversy which broke out around Górniak’s dress rehearsal performance.
There was no free-language rule in operation at the time, and the furore erupted at the dress rehearsal when Górniak sung the second half of “To nie ja!” in English. Although the Polish delegation were unaware that they had done anything wrong, and had always intended the song to be performed entirely in Polish on the night of the final, there was immediate uproar as the dress rehearsal performance was the one watched and voted on by the national juries. Other participants felt that by singing partly in English, Górniak had given herself an unfair advantage. Six national delegations formally petitioned for Poland to be disqualified; however Eurovision rules required a majority of delegations (13 in this case) to complain before the European Broadcasting Union could examine the case for disqualification, so Poland was allowed to remain. Many wondered why this had become such an issue when the previous year’s Croatian entry had included choruses sung entirely in English both in the dress rehearsal and the televised final without any objections being raised – it was then pointed out that the language rules did allow for short phrases of up to eight words in a non-official language of the country and the Croatian song had only used six (“Don’t ever cry, never say goodbye”), albeit repeated several times. Also the 1994 German entry included the phrase “Shake it, take it, make it all right”, which was permissible.
Dressed very simply in a short white dress and flat-heeled shoes, she gave a powerful performance of the dramatic ballad and received a very enthusiastic audience response. At the close of the voting “To nie ja!” had received 166 points – including five maximum 12s from Austria, Estonia, France, Lithuania and the United Kingdom – placing Poland second of the 25 entries.

lyrics
That’s not me
My world is so easy
Under a sky of black and blue
The people are cut out of grey pages
From the interior of books

They are beautiful from the background romance
You are tired of a newspaper that is cut out
And I… I’m white, a clean card
Amongst you

I was not Eve
I had not stolen heaven
Though I’m tired of tears
My tears, so many tears
I’m born to love myself

I was not Eve
I had not stolen heaven
Don’t blame it on me once more
That’s not me, that’s not me
Not me, I’m not Eve

The sky blows chilly
Hell bows deeply with its flames to its feet
And I… a marionette of paper, I have to play

I was not Eve
I had not stolen heaven
Though I’m tired of tears
My tears, so many tears
I’m born to love
I know it

Before I turn to ashes
I want to be a big flame
I want to look down on earth
Want to warm up the sky with dreams

(I was not Eve)
(I had not stolen heaven)
Yes, yes, yes, yes…
(I was not Eve)
(I had not stolen heaven)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yes…

1995

Poland was represented by Justyna Steczkowska, with the song “Sama”, at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 13 May in Dublin. The song was chosen internally by broadcaster TVP.
“Sama” was a moody, introspective piece with very arcane lyrics in which Steczkowska likened herself to a flea. It was predicted that the song would tend to find only minority niche approval, and would not be helped by having been drawn to open the show as the only songs ever to have done well from the opening draw were instant, catchy pop tunes. At the close of voting “Sama” had received only 15 points (the highest a 6 from Iceland), placing Poland 18th of the 23 entries.

lyrics
Alone
Now I know
That when the world is angry with me
It’s sad and I remain
There at that skyscraper’s stair’s eye
Until the dusk comes
In this faraway place
To become a little flea

Now I know
That when the world is angry with me
It’s sad and I remain
There at that skyscraper’s stair’s eye
Until the dusk comes
I’m alone
And I feel poor
Feeling so poor
As if God, the good God
Didn’t love little fleas

1997

Poland was represented by Anna Maria Jopek, with the song “Ale jestem”, at the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 3 May in Dublin. The song was chosen internally by broadcaster TVP.
“Ale jestem” was the first uptempo Polish entry, and although in Eurovision terms it was still an unusual and rather avant-garde song in style and structure, it was held to be rather more accessible to a Europe-wide audience than Poland’s previous two entries. At the close of voting “Ale jestem” had picked up 54 points (the highest an 8 from Austria), placing Poland 11th of the 25 entries, which remains the country’s third highest Eurovision finish.

lyrics
But I am
My eyes open: the world comes into being
Above me – heaven, an orchard in front
Green apples’ smell and taste
And all is so simple

You must truly live, to fool the time
You must beautifully live, you live only once
You must live in admiration: love, imagine and dream
You must fool the time, to save true life

I’m a grain of sand in a sand-glass
A boat stray among the reefs
A rain drop, a thoughtful cane among the grass
But I am

I’m a spark, a gasp of wind
a trail of light running up the stars
I’m a while trying to beat the time
But I am

I strain my ears to hear it play
Music in me, in music – I
Before big silence engulfs me
I want to sing out, to sing that

You must truly live, to fool the time
You must live in admiration, life happens only once

I’m a grain of sand in a sand-glass
A boat stray among the reefs
A rain drop, a thoughtful cane among the grass
But I am

I am

Life is a road, life is a dream
What will be later – I know, I don’t know
Don’t ask, you will see when
An ends comes of the road, of life… and dreams

I’m a grain of sand in a sand-glass
A boat stray among the reefs
A rain drop, a thoughtful cane among the grass
But I am

But I am (I’m a spark, a gasp of wind)
I’m (A trail of light running up to the stars)
I’m a while trying to beat the time
But I am

1998

Poland was represented by the band Sixteen, with the song “To takie proste”, at the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 9 May in Birmingham. The song was chosen internally by broadcaster TVP.
Pre-contest “To takie proste” was rated as an amiable if unspectacular pop song, unlikely to inspire strong feelings either way and therefore equally unlikely to inspire a great many of the European public to pick up their telephones in the first full year of Eurovision televoting. This was indeed the case, as at the close of voting “To takie proste” had picked up only 19 points (10 from Romania, 5 from Germany and 2 each from France and Hungary), placing Poland 17th of the 25 entries, only narrowly avoiding relegation from the 1999 contest.

lyrics
It’s easy
Outside a new day is dawning
Your breath awakens me
I’m waiting impatiently for the sound of your voice
But all I hear is rain

I run away, as far as I’m concerned
But I have the intuition, that

I know and you know too
We’ve got the best that we can get
When you want to suppress anger
It’s so easy

Silently I search for your warm lips
Secretly I hold my tears
The wind swept up those most tender moments
Carrying them further and further away

I run away, I’ll lose you
But I have the intuition, that

Oh… I know and you know too
We’ve got the best that we can get
When you want to suppress anger
It’s easy, embrace me
Yoohoo…

It’s so easy
Whoa… yeah…

Oh… I know and you know too
We’ve got the best that we can get
When you want to suppress anger
It’s easy, embrace me

(Got the best, got the best, yeah)
And you know it too
(Got the best, got the best, yeah)
That we can get
(Got the best, got the best, yeah)
It’s easy, embrace me

1999

For the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest, Poland entered Przytul mnie mocno, performed by Mietek Szcześniak. The song selection was held internally, so no details about the selection process are known. In the contest, it received 17 points and finished 18th.

lyrics
Hold me tight
Who… who yeah…

I don’t know who wrote the text of our roles
I don’t know why there’s error, pain and remorse

Show me the way to simple words through every day
Show me the way when shadows fall and lights fade

Hold me tight and turn the ice into snowflakes
Hold me tight, give me a well of spring waters

Till remorse can mend errors, I cherish hope
Till a tear is still a tear, I’m not alone
I’m not alone
As long as a tear is still a tear, I’m not alone
Oh no, I’m not alone

2001

Poland was represented by Piasek, with the song “2 Long”, at the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 12 May in Copenhagen. The song was chosen internally by broadcaster TVP.”2 Long” was the first Polish entry performed in English.
Prior to the contest the song had been largely dismissed as a dated and derivative sub-Motown effort and Poland’s weakest entry to date by some distance. The strange styling of Piasek and his backing singers was also heavily criticised – Piasek appeared on stage wearing a tatty fur jacket, which he cast onto the stage after singing the first verse for a reason which was non-apparent from the lyrical content of the song. At the close of voting “2 Long” had received only 11 points placing Poland 20th of the 23 entries.

lyrics
2 long
(How long will I wait for you?)
(How long will you wait for me?)

If you don’t get too close, you won’t see the joke
Maybe everything looks so cool, maybe I’m just foolin’
When I’m almost out the door, you’re still smilin’ so
Hey, I am thinking just the same, better if you think again

I’ve been a faker, yeah, someone who didn’t care
And I would never want to be with someone like me
But maybe one more night could make us feel alright
What difference does it make? – Tell me

(How long will I wait for you?) Too long for you, oh…
(How long will you wait for me?) Too long for me
(How long is too long, yeah?) Too long, yeah
We’ve been wastin’ so much time
Life’s too short – it would be a crime

So who’s behind the mask? – Oh… you don’t have to ask
I’ll tell you all there is about me, my cards are on the table
And I have really learnt to hide these feelings deep inside
I know the honesty within is nothing when you’re cryin’

I’ve been a faker, yeah, someone who didn’t care
And I would never want to be with someone like me
But maybe one more night could make us feel alright
What difference does it make? – Tell me

(How long will I wait for you?) Too long for you, oh…
(How long will you wait for me?) Too long for me
(How long is too long, yeah?) Too long, yeah
We’ve been wastin’ so much time
Life’s too short – it would be a crime

(How long will I wait for you?)
(How long will you wait for me?)

(How long will I wait for you?) Too long for you
(How long will you wait for me?) Oh yeah, too long for me
(How long is too long, yeah?) Too long, yeah
We’ve been wastin’ so much time
Life’s too short, it would be a crime

2003

Poland was represented by the band Ich Troje, with the song ‘”Keine Grenzen-Żadnych granic”, at the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 24 May in Riga, Latvia. Poland returned to Eurovision after an enforced one-year absence following relegation after a poor result in 2001, and for the first time since joining Eurovision in 1994, broadcaster TVP opted to choose their entry through a public final rather than via internal selection. “Keine Grenzen-Żadnych granic” was chosen as the Polish entry at the national final. There was great interest in the country’s first televised final and some of the biggest names in the Polish music industry had been tempted to take part.
At the close of voting “Keine Grenzen-Żadnych granic” had received 90 points (including a maximum 12 from Germany), placing Poland 7th of the 26 entries, the country’s first top 10 finish since their second place debut in 1994.

lyrics
No borders
I wish I were an astronaut
Who looks down to the earth from up there
Because all those, who already were up there
They all say: “It’s wonderful”

Here you’ll feel time slower passing by
Silence and peace that we miss so much
And here today it could also be this way
We’re small, but not necessarily bad

No borders, no flags
From up there, the world is just beautiful
No countries, no nations
No wars can be seen from up there

Everyone should go there at least once
To realise this struggle doesn’t make sense

Perhaps it will take our stupid megalomania
And instead of talking, we begin to love

No borders, no flags
No stupid quarrels, no different races
No wars, no states
No wars can be seen from up there

Unlimited peace without flags
From the height, borders can’t be seen anymore
Unlimited, unusually
Without quarrels, explosions, rage and wars

From up there the world is just beautiful

2004

Poland was represented by Blue Café and the song “Love Song”. TVP organized the Polish National Final “Krajowe Eliminacje do Konkursu Piosenki Eurowizji 2004”, which was held on January 24, 2004 at the Torwar Hall in Warsaw. 15 songs participated with the winner being chosen by televoting and SMS voting. Blue Café came in 3rd at the Polish Final for Eurovision in 2003.
The lead singer, Tatiana, wore a revealing see-through dress which was darkened at the inappropriate places. Despite an elaborate performance, Poland only scored 27 points, which placed then at 17th.

lyrics

Love song
Every day I feel I need somebody
Every night I wanna feel your body
Every day I cannot wait
Every night I sing this way

Sweet song, love song
Sweet song, I wanna give you this song
Sweet song, love song
Sweet song

Every day I wanna love somebody
Every night I feel I need your body
Every day I feel the same
Every night I sing this way

Sweet song, love song
Sweet song, I wanna give you this song
Sweet song, love song
Sweet song

(One, two, three, four)

I love you the way you are
I want to be your girl
You give me the joy
Of feeling like a girl
I search for you in the morning
Because I’m your girl

Sweet song, love song
Sweet song, I wanna give you this song
Sweet song, love song
Sweet song

(I love you, yes, my girl)

Sweet song, love song
Sweet song, love song
Sweet song, love song
Sweet song

Sweet song, love song
Sweet song, I wanna give you this song
Sweet song, love song
Sweet song

The song had one of the fastest beats per minute in Eurovision’s history. The song was performed in both Polish and Russian. The song is written by Ivan Komarenko & Michal Szymanski and composed by Lukasz Lazer.
At the close of voting, it had received 81 points, placing 11th in a field of 25 – missing out on qualification by one place and requiring Poland to qualify through the semi-final at the next Contest.

lyrics
Black-haired girl
Lay… lay lay lay lay…
Lay lay lay lay…
Lay lay lay lay…
Lay… lay lay lay lay…
Lay lay lay lay…
Lay lay lay lay…

Black-haired girl
It’s the last light of the sun
The fire and the red wine
Will drive away the Gypsy dreams

Black-haired girl
Do you see, I want to be with you
When all stars are telling us today
What will happen isn’t a sin

Come on, you fast horses
Go with all your forces, aha…
The only black-haired one
He wants to be with her, she with him

Lay… lay lay lay lay…
Lay lay lay lay…
Lay lay lay lay…
Lay… lay lay lay lay…
Lay lay lay lay…
Lay lay lay lay…

Oh, tender Lara
Sunset has touched the marquee
Fire, wine and guitars
Will remove sleep till the morning

Oh, you my fast horses
Heat is burning in blood
We won’t ever be caught
As this is the night for love

Hey… hey…
Hop hop hop hop hop hop hop hoppa…

Lay… lay lay lay… lay…
Lay lay lay… lay…
Lay lay lay… lay…

Lay… lay lay lay lay…
Lay lay lay lay…
Lay lay lay lay…
Lay… (Lay lalala…)
Lay lay lay lay… (Lay lalala…)
Lay lay lay lay… (Lay lalala…)
Lay lay lay lay…

2006

Poland’s entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens was Follow my Heart, sung by Ich Troje. As Poland’s 2005 entry did not make it to the final, the song had to compete in the semi-final where it placed 11th, thus not advancing to the final either. It was the second time the group represented Poland, following their 7th place in 2003 in Riga. This time the group was joined on stage by German dance music producer Olaf Jeglitza a.k.a. Real McCoy who enjoyed a couple of massive dance hits in the mid 1990s.
“Follow My Heart” is a 1990s style synthesizer led track and is also multi-lingual (the version performed at the ESC contained lyrics in Polish, German, English and Russian). The song was composed by André Franke, and the lyrics were written by Michał Wiśniewski, Jacek Łągwa and Real McCoy. Some notable changes to the group took place in comparison with their previous ESC entry and other performances. First of all, the current female vocalist Anna Świątczak (and Wiśniewski’s love interest, pregnant with their baby) was joined by her predecessors Magda Femme (also Wiśniewski’s former wife) and Justyna Majkowska, therefore (combined with Real McCoy) reaching the limit of six performers on stage. Secondly, Wiśniewski sported green rather than usual red hair, which was not related to the ESC but rather to a promotional contract with a mobile network operator, whose color code is green.
Follow My Heart came 11th out of 23 entries in the semi-final, which was a repeat of the 2005 result (Poland also placed 11th in the semi-final), and a near miss, as only the 10 entries that come first in the semi-final advance to the final night.

lyrics
I follow my heart

I follow my heart
I follow my heart
(I follow my heart)

Wait – I need to talk to you
It burns me – girl, you know it’s true
Candle – you’re the one for me
Your love made me a believer
I wanted – another night of love
Entirely – I wanna have it all
Candle – so come on, get your love
Come, take my gasoline

Please, let me at least touch your hands
In them, I’ll put a request to meet our eyesights
In your eyes, I’ll stick the passion and desire
I’ll get to your heart, do you want it?

Listen to your heart today, ’cause love smoulders in it
It will show the door to the cruel loneliness
Let both of them flare up, no one will extinguish them
Follow your heart, from today, I’m in it

I follow my heart
I follow my heart
(I follow my heart)

Wait – I need to talk to you
It burns me – girl, you know it’s true
Candle – you’re the one for me
Your love made me a believer
I wanted – another night of love
Entirely – I wanna have it all
Candle – so come on, get your love
Come, take my gasoline

Just be, hold me as no one else
Until our hearts stop beating
What will be left is love, ’cause I know
That death doesn’t know what love is

And in the heart as in the heart, love smoulders in it
Always trust it, it wants to beat for you
And love is inflamed until the end of our days
Because of it, I’m always there where you are

I follow my heart and one day I’ll confide
The way that I feel about you by my side
Let me be with you now, I know it’s alright
To follow my heart ’cause our love is the light
(Is the light)

Follow my heart
(I follow my heart)
I follow my heart
I follow my heart

2007

Poland chose their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in the national finals, Piosenka dla Europy 2007, which took place on 3 February 2007 and were broadcast by TVP. The winning song was “Time to party” by The Jet Set, who proceeded into the finals of the competition.
Poland’s entry finished fourteenth in the semi-final of the contest, scoring 75 points and failing to qualify.

lyrics
Time to party
(Come with me, because it’s time to…)
Let’s party, you got the right to party
Let’s party, you got the right to party

Hey guys, you really know what I like, just like that
You know that I’m really fine (I like that)
When it’s raining and bad news is on TV
Don’t get crazy
Let’s party, you got the right to party

Hey guys, you know what turns me on
Come, let it go, baby, let it show, baby
Let me know what makes your mind blow, uh…
And makes you lose it at night
Don’t get crazy
You know it’s your right to party

Come with me, because it’s time to party
Join me, and let’s go to a party (Come on)
Everybody has a right to party, get crazy
Why don’t you get crazy, crazy?

Come with me, because it’s time to party (Oh yeah)
Join me, and let’s go to a party
You know you really gotta get down
Come to a party with me
Just party with me, yeah

Every little moment is so special for me
I’m a little bit crazy, crazy, like a baby, uh…
You got it goin’, baby
When it’s raining and bad news is on TV
Don’t get crazy
Let’s party, you got the right to party

Hey guys, you really know what I like, just like that
You know that I’m really hot
(Yeah, yeah, yeah) You are
Don’t get crazy
You know it’s your right to party

Come with me, because it’s time to party (Yeah)
Join me, and let’s go to a party (Come on)
Everybody has a right to party, get crazy
Keep it up, keep the party alive

Come with me, because it’s time to party (Oh yeah)
Join me, and let’s go to a party (Uh uh…)
Think I’m goin’ crazy right now
Come to a party with me
Just party with me
(Time to party)

This is true love, baby, yes, it’s true
You got the lovin’ I need, and I always will be there for you
I’m your baby
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I’m really your baby, yeah, yeah
Let’s go

Come with me, because it’s (time to party)
Join me, and let’s go to a party (Come on)
Everybody has a right to party, get crazy
Baby, are you ready to keep it up, keep the party alive?

Come with me, because it’s time to party (Oh yeah)
Join me, and let’s go to a party (Uh uh…)
You know you really gotta get down
Come to a party with me
You better get crazy, so once more:
Come to a party with me
Just party with me (Yeah)

2008

Poland competed in the first of the semifinals in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. The Polish National Final Piosenka dla Europy 2008 was held on February 23, 2008. Both the jury and televoters gave top marks to Isis Gee, to represent Poland in Belgrade with her song For Life. Poland qualified to take part in the final of the contest, having received enough televotes in the semi-final.

lyrics
For life
I had no choice, perfectly clear from the start
I heard your voice and I was falling
Into a space where daylight kisses moonlit skies
It was the place as written in your eyes
And oh… we made it, we finally found our way
And celebrating just where we, we stand today

I’ll let my heart show the way
Oceans and mountains between us
Because your love is why
You made the wrong right
I will give my all
I will heed your call for life

I had no choice, perfectly clear from the start
I will rejoice, embrace your calling
And into a space where daylight breathes within your heart
You found my heart and I knew it was for life
Oh…

I’ll let my heart show the way
Oceans and mountains between us
Because your love is why
You made the wrong right
I will give my all for life
Ooh yeah… for life

2009

Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, as confirmed by Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP). TVP continued to use the Piosenka dla Europy contest to select the Polish representative for the 2009 contest in Moscow. The 2009 edition of the contest was held on 14 February, with the winner decided by jury and televoting. The winner was Lidia Kopania with “I Don’t Wanna Leave”, represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in May 2009.
Poland had to compete in the second semi final, as determined on for the 30th January. They have not automatically qualified for the final as Isis Gee came 24th in the 2008 contest. Lidia performed fifth in the running order of the semi-final on 14 May, following Serbia and preceding Norway. She failed to qualify Poland to the final on 16 May.

lyrics
I don’t wanna leave
I can’t say the words I feel inside so deep
‘Cause when the clouds come out, I feel so incomplete
I know the sun shines down on me
I see it now, the rain won’t get to me
I just wanna live my life the way it’s meant to be

I don’t wanna leave, but it’s my destiny
I will wrap my arms around the world
You’ll see that I am not a child
‘Cause I’m standing taller this time
Take it step by step, do my best, that’s right
But I will never say goodbye

For so long now I’ve been dreaming in the dark
I was too scared to feel the things held in my heart
Don’t you know this is meant to be, I’ll let it out
‘Cause it’s getting hard to breathe
I just wanna live my life the way it’s meant to be

I don’t wanna leave, but it’s my destiny
I will wrap my arms around the world
You’ll see that I am not a child
‘Cause I’m standing taller this time
Take it step by step, do my best, that’s right
Oh… I don’t wanna leave, I don’t wanna leave
But it’s my destiny, oh…

I’ll never say goodbye…
(Never say, never say, never say goodbye)
Never, oh…
(Never say, never say)

I don’t wanna leave, but I’m standing taller this time
Take it step by step, do my best, that’s right
But I will never say goodbye

lyrics

The legend
Over the forest, over the mountain
There once lived a knight called Peacock Feather
Every day I think about tomorrow
Wanna see my princess much closer
I’ve decided never feeling sorrow
I will share my heart when I find her

I’ll be forever, ever and ever
Feeling this love till the day when I die
Being together, even no matter
You didn’t want me to be by your side
He kidnapped a girl from the castle
The chase after him was in vain
Lovely princess, I am here to save you
Take my hand and say that you love me
If you ever say it, even lying
I will let you fly like a bird – free

I’ll be forever, ever and ever
Feeling this love till the day when I die
Being together, even no matter
You didn’t want me to be by your side

I’ll be forever, ever and ever
Feeling this love till the day when I die
Being together, even no matter
You didn’t want me to be by your side

(I’ll be forever, ever and ever) I’ll be forever…
(Feeling this love till the day when I die)
(Being together even no matter) Forever
(You didn’t want me to be by your side) You didn’t want me by…

Lovely princess, I am here to save you
Take my hand and say that you love me
If you ever say it, even lying
I will let you fly like a bird – free

(The moral of this is that)
(She didn’t like the knight)
(She didn’t like the knight)

lyrics

Here I am
Here I am, here I am

Here I am – in your words, thoughts, every gesture
Here I am – like water, earth, fire and air
Here I am – in my arms you’re melting like ice

You’re waiting for at least a smile, a word
Every day you’re trying to win me over again
I got used to you

And when I have some problem
You’re the first to stand at my door
Now I’m finally sure
That it’s you sending me flowers every day

I’m your inspiration, your remedy for tears
(Your world revolves around me)
You’re my shadow at my command
(Appearing right beside me, jumping in the fire when I want you to)

I can feel anxiety taking over you, again and again
I’m uncovering you like a pack of cards, little by little
By your side, I lose my restraints

And when the night puts us to sleep
My thoughts rush towards your eyes, your lips
Just to make sure that still, after all…

I’m your inspiration, your remedy for tears
(Your world revolves around me)
You’re my shadow at my command
(Appearing right beside me)

I’m your inspiration, your remedy for tears
(Your world revolves around me)
You’re my shadow at my command
(Appearing right beside me, jumping in the fire when I want you to)

Here I am!

I’m your inspiration, your remedy for tears
(Your world revolves around me)
You’re my shadow at my command
(Appearing right beside me)

I’m your inspiration, your remedy for tears
(Your world revolves around me)
You’re my shadow at my command
(Appearing right beside me)

Right beside me
